Sean Caple
With over 40 years of hockey experience, including more than 20 years coaching and training players from 8U through NCAA and NHL draft picks, Sean brings a deep passion for the game and a commitment to player development at every stage.
Originally from Red Deer, Alberta, Sean played Junior and College hockey throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan before moving to Denver in 2000. He began coaching in 1999 and has held leadership roles across youth hockey, including Director of Hockey, Director of Player Development and Head Coach for the Arapahoe Ice Warriors (2000–2006, 2010–2013) and Front Range Panthers (2006–2010). He has also led hockey schools, private lessons, and skills clinics across North America.
Sean is a USA Hockey Level 5–Master Coach and holds an Intermediate Coaching Certificate from Hockey Canada. He has spoken at USA Hockey coaching clinics and worked alongside the NHL as an on-ice instructor for multiple All-Star Games and “NHL Cool Schools” hockey clinics. Off the ice, he’s provided in-game statistics for NBC Sports, TSN, and Hockey Night in Canada during regular season and Stanley Cup Playoff broadcasts. Most recently, working the NHL draft in Los Angeles with Rogers Sportsnet.
After stepping away from youth hockey in 2013, Sean spent nine years working in the IT sector for an S&P 500 real estate investment trust before returning to the game. He currently serves as Assistant Coach for the Valor Christian Eagles Boys Varsity team, helping lead the program to the 2022–23 and 2024-25 CHSAA 5A State Championship and a runner-up finish in the 2023–24 season. In additon a USA Hockey High School National Championship in 2023-24.
Sean lives in Castle Rock, Colorado, with his wife Rachel and their three dogs—Finn, Chloe, and Charlotte. His four stepsons all played youth hockey in Colorado and continue to stay involved through adult leagues.
