Sean Caple

With over 40+ years of hockey experience including 20+ years of coaching and training players of all ages from 8U to  NCAA and NHL draft picks, Sean is excited to share his passion and love for the game through teaching. 

Prior to moving to Denver from Calgary in 2000, Sean played Junior and College hockey throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan. He started coaching in 1999 and has been involved at every capacity within youth hockey including hockey schools, private lessons and Director of Player Development and Head Coach for Arapahoe Ice Warriors (2000-06, 2010-13) and Front Range Panthers (2006-10). 

Sean holds a Level 5-Master Coaching Certification through USA Hockey and Intermediate Coaches Certificate from Hockey Canada. Additionally, he has spoken at USA Hockey coaching clinics and has worked with the National Hockey League on numerous All-Star games as an on-ice instructor for “NHL Cool Schools" hockey clinics. Off-ice he has worked with NBC Sports, TSN and Hockey Night in Canada providing in-game stats during the regular season and Stanley Cup playoffs.

After taking a break from youth hockey in 2013, he spent 9 years in the real estate investment trust sector providing IT management for an S&P 500 real estate investment company.
Currently, Sean is the assistant coach for Valor Christian Eagles Boys Varsity team who won the 2022-23 Colorado High School Athletic Association 5A State tournament and were runners-up in the 2023-24 season.. 

Sean resides in Castle Rock, Colorado with his wife, Rachel and 3 dogs - Finn, Chloe and Charlotte. His 4 stepsons played their youth hockey in Colorado and continue to be involved in hockey playing adult league.
